Ages 8-11: Insect Ecology

Do you know the difference between a spider and an insect? We study bugs, beetles, bees, dragonflies, butterflies, moths and spiders and ticks. On field trips we use nets to capture, identify and release these insects. In the lab we study life cycles, identification of insects and visit the Insectarium. Field trips are to Saskatoon Natural Grasslands, Wanuskewin Heritage Park and Pike Lake.

Children must be at least 8 years old and not older than 11 years in order to register for this Ecology Camp (+/- 2 months).

There is one Junior Leader spot available for this camp until June 1 (must be between 12 - 17 years of age and previously attended an ecology camp).

Extended childcare is available each day for an additional $40.00 charge. Children can be dropped off at extended care starting at 8:00 am, and must be picked up no later than 5:00 pm.

Refund Policy

The registration fee, less a $50 administration charge, will be refunded ONLY if your spot can be filled from the camp waiting list. We are sorry, but if your spot cannot be filled, the registration fee is non-refundable. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. There will be a $50 administration fee charged if you wish to transfer to a different camp after the initial registration.
