Artist in Training - Primaries: Ages 6-7

The Aspiring Young Artists Program (AYAP) is committed to providing young artist with the tools to develop their visual art skills. The program goals are to encourage an interdisciplinary approach to creativity and to create a solid foundation for visual art techniques while fostering an environment that allows for organic creative flow in a fun and supportive environment. This 20-week course is divided into two terms of 10 weeks each...from September to November, and From January to March. There is a group art exhibition during the last class on Nov.18th and during the last class on March 24th.

  • develop creative sills and self expression while learning art fundamentals
  • explore a wide range of materials and methods of working including drawing, painting, sculpture , printmaking, collage, paper projects, etc
  • work with a wide range of materials that may include charcoal, oil pastel, chalk pastel, acrylics, watercolour, paper, clay etc.
  • take home a portfolio of one-of-a-kind art works

Refund Policy

Withdrawal from courses: Students may withdraw from a course at any time. A $50 withdrawal fee is charged for withdrawing from a course up to 2 weeks prior to course start date. No course refund is processed after this time. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.
