Best Trees & Shrubs for the Prairies

Our choice of hardy trees and shrubs has never been greater! From ground-covering junipers to towering subalpine firs, from old standards such as Ohio buckeye to the newly introduced northern pin oak. This workshop will begin with the function of woody plants in your landscape (from shade to shelter), the importance of selecting for four-season landscape beauty, maintenance considerations, planting, and care. Then, over al hundred of the best trees and shrubs, suitable for a wide range of landscapes from urban lots to farms and acreages, and adapted to varying conditions from sun to dry shade.
