Cultivating Seasonal Awareness to Support Native Bees

With campaigns such as "No Mow May" and "Leave the Leaves", gardeners are becoming more are of different ways to support bees in all seasons, even when they're not actively foraging.  Lori will talk in detail about how you can support native bees throughout the year in your garden and/or back yard.  She will talk about spring bees vs. summer bees and bees that forage from early in spring to the first frost.  Ever wondered what bees do in winter?  Learn how to garden with the least amount of disturbance to nesting bees and some of the best blooms for bees in spring, summer and fall.  This seminar is also suitable for folks who are interested in "bee watching" and observing bees in their backyards as naturalists and citizen scientists.
