This course will focus on drawing portraits and achieving a likeness. The first few weeks will focus on structure and anatomy of the head from the larger skull form to individual smaller forms (eyes, nose, mouth and ears). The remaining weeks will focus on drawing the portrait from start to finish. Students will also learn how to light and photograph reference for their portrait work. This class will use 3d scan technology to better illustrate the head in 3 dimensions.
