February Break - Snow Ecology Camp (Ages 8 - 12)

After Family Day, Snow Ecology is four-day camp focusing on how plants and animals adapt to survive our winters. In the classroom we'll study snow structure, how to dress for the outdoors, snowshoes, tracks, and how animals survive. Each day we will hike, with walks on the MVA trail, Wanuskewin Heritage Park, Saskatoon Zoo, Forestry Farm and the University of Saskatchewan campus. We will practice with snowshoes and make a snow shelter called a quinzee (if there is snow). As an added bonus, campers will experience hands-on visits from socialized tiger salamanders, brown bats and a garter snake.

Children must be 8 years old and not older than 12 years in order to register for this Ecology Camp.

Sorry, there are no Junior Leader spots open for this camp.

Extended Care for your child is available for a nominal fee at the time of registration, during the hours of 8 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 5 pm.

Refund Policy

The registration fee, less a $50 administration charge, will be refunded ONLY if your spot can be filled from the camp waiting list. We are sorry, but if your spot cannot be filled, the registration fee is non-refundable. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. There will be a $50 administration fee charged if you wish to transfer to a different camp after the initial registration.
