Gardening is fun and rewarding but can be overwhelming if you’re new to it. Gardening 101 offers a bootcamp series designed to walk new gardeners through their first year–with timely information:
Part 1-Spring: Garden centers and seed catalogues offer so many choices it can be overwhelming to know where to begin, much less how to grow it. Learn the basics of what you need to start a flower or vegetable garden including soil, seeds, shopping, maintenance, & assorted other bits of wisdom. If you are a first time vegetable grower or flower gardener, this class is for you!
Part 2-Summer: Your plants are in the ground–now what? Part 2 of our garden bootcamp series will get you through the summer. Learn what your top problems may be and how to solve them, what you need to do for maintenance, and how to prevent issues from now until harvest.
Part 3-Fall: Fall is here and it’s time to think about harvest. Which veggies are better after the first frost? How do I store my produce? What maintenance should I now do to give my perennials the best shot of surviving winter? Share your success stories and lessons-learned with other new gardeners as we wrap up the garden year.
A $20 administrative fee for a full-day class, or a $10 administrative fee for a half-day class, will be charged if notice to withdraw is received up to one week before the class starts. No refunds will be processed after this time. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal and a refund will not be issued. Special consideration may be given in extenuating circumstances and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
