When gardeners want something big, they usually plant a tree or sometimes a large shrub. In many cases, this proves to be problematic when the tree or shrub become too big. Very often, we could do better with vines, large perennials, or even some really big annuals! There are some stupendous annuals that can provide you with big (5 ft. or more) growth in a single season. There are plenty of big perennials that will grow 6-10 ft. tall and can easily do the work of a shrub or small tree in terms of screening or drama. With big perennials, you don't have to worry that they will outgrow their space, you won't need to worry about pruning, and they're a lot easier to remove than a tree or shrub if you change your mind about what you want in that location. In this class, we will explore a great many big, burly perennials and big, beefy bedding plants!
Registration fee, minus an administration fee of $20 + GST (full day class), $10.00 + GST (half day/evening class), will be refunded if notice to cancel/withdraw is received no later than 1 week prior to start of class. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal and refunds will not be issued.
