Leadership Development Program

Introduction and Background

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 5-day highly interactive and experiential program that will teach you the proven leadership practices and skills you need to know to achieve your leadership potential.

The people in your organization who are in leadership positions must know how to bring out the best in everyone. Effective leaders are trustworthy, confident, and encourage employees to grow, take risks, and excel in their positions. As leaders are needed at all levels of the organization, the optimal scenario is to have all of your employees take on a leadership role.

Grounded in five core behaviours that Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner identified as critical for effective leadership in their book The Leadership Challenge, participants learn how to Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, and Encourage the Heart.

• Identify key leadership practices and leadership styles
• Understand the difference between managing and leading
• Effectively lead through transitional times
• Understand personal style and personality traits and how they affect working groups 

Refund Policy

University of Saskatchewan's liability is limited to reimbursement of paid tuition fees. Cancellations received at least twenty (20) business days in advance of the course commencement date and all collateral (textbook, etc) returned to Edwards Executive Education, will be subject to receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than twenty (20) business days prior to the course commencement date will be subject to a $1200 administration fee. Cancellations received less than five (5) business days prior to the course commencement date will be subject to full course tuition cost. Non-attendance will incur full course tuition cost. Fees subject to change without notice. Program Transfers: One course transfer will be permitted without penalty if the cancellation request is received more than twenty (20) business days prior to the course start date. Program transfers within twenty (20) business days of the course start date will be subject to a $300 administration fee. All collateral (textbook, etc) must be returned to Edwards Executive Education before the transfer will be processed. Alternate program transfers may be approved dependent on course availability. Transfer requests must be scheduled within six (6) months of the initial purchase. Applicants will be responsible for any price difference in program fees at the time of the request. Each subsequent transfer request will be subject to a $300.00 + taxes administration fee.
