Low Water, Low Maintenance Gardening: Principles, Plants and Practices

As our climate changes, conserving water is more important that ever before. And if less maintenance is involved, so much the better.  This presentation begins with the principals of xeriscape:  design ideas that conserve water, soil improvement, efficient irrigations, reducing conventional lawn areas, mulching and the use of drought tolerant plants,.  There are hundreds of attractive, hardy and drought tolerant trees, shrubs, vines, annuals, perennials and bulbs available to prairie gardens.
