Everyone knows roses are red and violets are blue...or are they? How many violets do you have in your garden? Did you know they are very diverse? Did you know that we have over a dozen native species? Did you know that pansies are very cold tolerant and should be the first bedding plants you put out? We'll explore a great many species of violets as well as hybrid and cultivated forms and you'll surely find something here that's suitable for your garden. Violets tend to be early and charming and you probably need at least a few more in your yard. This will be a terrific class for those interested in native plants as well as gardeners who love perennials that are quick and early to bloom!
