COURSE INFORMATION

Portuguese 1

For students who have little or no experience in speaking Portuguese.

Students will master and learn to:

• Introduce oneself & someone else
• Spell
• Greet someone
• Indicate & ask for someone’s name
• Indicate & ask for someone’s nationality
• Indicate & ask for someone’s profession
• Indicate & ask for the time
• Invite someone somewhere
• Count from 0 to 100
• Indicate & ask for the period of the day

Evaluation

Non-Credit course

Progress Report Card provided at the end of the course.

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS once course has started. Withdrawing from the course prior to the first class, will result in a refund less an administrative fee of $75 + taxes. The Arts & Sciences Languages Non-Credit Programming Unit reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrollment, in these cases a full refund will be issued. No transfers will be allowed from one term to another term. If a class is cancelled during the term, these hours will be rescheduled and made up. However, if a student misses a class, no rescheduling or make up classes occur.
