Portuguese 2

For students who can express basic information about themselves and ask someone for that same information (name, age, address, work, profession, nationality, etc.) Counting, spelling and basic communication in class are acquired skills.

Students will master and learn to:

 Introduce oneself & someone else

  • Indicate & ask for information/details
  • Indicate & ask for something
  • Express thanks
  • Plan an event
  • Describe a diet with food elements
  • Order food in a restaurant
  • Order drinks in a restaurant
  • Use the form: gostar de

Evaluation

Non-credit course

Progress Report Card provided at the end of the course.

Requisites

Portuguese Level 1 or Portuguse Level 2 assessment

  • P2 ASSESSMENT - Portuguese 2 Assessment  (1 of the following)
    • ASM000 2019Z P2A - Assessed at Portuguese 2 
    • ASM000 2020Z P2A - Assessed at Portuguese 2 
    • ASM000 2021Z P2A - Assessed at Portuguese 2

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS once course has started. Withdrawing from the course prior to the first class, will result in a refund less an administrative fee of $75 + taxes. The Arts & Sciences Languages Non-Credit Programming Unit reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrollment, in these cases a full refund will be issued. No transfers will be allowed from one term to another term. If a class is cancelled during the term, these hours will be rescheduled and made up. However, if a student misses a class, no rescheduling or make up classes occur.
