Spanish 1

For students who have very little or no experience of speaking Spanish.

Students will master and learn to:

  •  Introduce oneself
  •  Present someone using
  •  Present someone using usted
  •  Greet someone
  •  Indicate & ask for nationality
  •  Spell      
  •  Indicate & ask for profession
  •  Indicate & ask for s telephone number
  •  Indicate where one works
  •  Ask someone where he or she works
  •  Indicate in which town or city one lives
  •  Ask someone in which town or city he or she lives

Evaluation

Non-Credit course
Progress report provided at the completion of the class.

Requisites

For students who have no Spanish speaking skills.
For those who have vacationed, or spent time in a Spanish speaking country, please have an assessment prior to registering in this course.

To be sure this is the correct level in which to register, have a speaking assessment done.

As well, all participants must be at least 16 years old when classes start.

Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS once the course has been confirmed. Withdrawing from the course prior to the first class, will result in a refund less an administrative fee of $75.00 + GST. The Arts & Sciences Languages Non-Credit Programming Unit reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrollment, in these cases a full refund will be issued. No transfers will be allowed from one term to another term. If a class is cancelled during the term, these hours will be rescheduled and made up. However, if a student misses a class, no rescheduling or make up classes occur.
